Boys and Girls Clubs
I can speak to the importance of looking toward the future. As a youth from the inner city I had tremendous pressure to belong to gangs. I choose to leave High School and join the U.S. Marine Corps. During those days, the urbanized centers did not have the assistance of Boys Clubs of America like they do today in urban areas. Working with the Leadership of these clubs, I have a unique background and have been able to help instructors and leaders in these organizations to increase the effectiveness of their efforts by working with these valuable youth to prevent them from being in harms way and to keep them law abiding.
